Busi­ness Direc­tor of Pol­icy Research and Advo­cacy, The Hong Kong Coun­cil of Social Service

Mr. Chua Hoi Wai is cur­rently the Busi­ness Direc­tor respon­si­ble for pol­icy research and advo­cacy, as well as the devel­op­ment of social enter­prises. He is appointed the next HKCSS Chief Exec­u­tive and will assume his new posi­tion on 1 Dec., 2013.

Mr Chua is a mem­ber of the Com­mis­sion on Poverty, HKSAR Gov­ern­ment and Chair­per­son of its Spe­cial Needs Groups Task Force, Asso­ciate Mem­ber of Government’s Cen­tral Pol­icy Unit, mem­ber of Build­ing Com­mit­tee of Hong Kong Hous­ing Author­ity, etc.

He is a social worker by pro­fes­sion, and was the Pres­i­dent of Hong Kong Social Work­ers Asso­ci­a­tion from 2004-​08.
